Press 'Enter', and using the right and up arrows put in the password 1234 and press 'Enter'. Then press right until you see 'Ribbon' (14 presses - and it probably says NO). Press the up/down arrow to change it to YES. Then press 'Menu'.

It's been 2 days that it bugs me. I really dont understand. Please help!!!!
It asks for a 4 digit password. The default from the manual is 1234. Once I use the (+) and (-) to enter in 1234, I cannot get it to take the password. The select button does nothing. The (-) and (+) just change the password and (setup/exit) just goes back a screen.
I can't seem to enter the setup menu from the actual printer. I hit (Setup/Exit) button hit the (+) button till I get to user menu. I hit (select).

Neither of these worked. I spent about a half hour with various suggestions for similar printer model numbers and was finally able to get it going with what abrown1983 suggested. Under Media and Ribbon, you have to go through and force a calibration.
